Genesis is an English progressive rock band formed in 1967. However, they started playing progressive music with their second album - Trespass - in 1970. Their prog style was continued throughout 1970's. Later on, in the 1980's the band changed into soft-rock/pop group. However, even now they are playing some old prog stuff during their concerts.

Phil Collins - drums and vocals (1971 - 1993, 2006 - now)
Peter Gabriel - vocals, flute (1967-1975)
Steve Hackett - guitars (1971-1977)
Anthony Phillips - guitars (1967-1971)

The best progressive albums of Genesis include Trespass (1970), Nursery Cryme (1971), Foxtrot (1972), Genesis Live (1973), Selling England by the Pound (1973), The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (1974), A Trick of the Tail (1976), Wind & Wuthering (1976).
